Overview & Special Stitches

Paris stitch is a simple 1 row repeat pattern basically made up of ch, sc and dc stitches.

  • Cluster: 2dc, ch2, sc

 

Foundation Chain

Chain a multiple of 3 + 1

Pattern

Row 1: 

  • dc in the 4th ch from the hook,
  • ch2, then sc into the same st.
  • sk 2 sts. (2 dc, ch2, sc) all into the same stitch. This is your Paris cluster.
  • sk 2, make another cluster (2 dc, ch2, sc)into the next st.
  • Continue in this way until the end of the row, with 3 ch left.
  • sk 2, work another cluster (2 dc, ch2, sc) into the last st.

Row 2:

  • For this row work into the ch2 spaces of the previous row.
  • ch3 and turn (counts as first dc.)
  • dc into ch2 sp of the previous row. ch2. sc into the same ch2 sp.
  • Make another cluster in the next ch2 sp and continue this way across.
  • At the end of the row, work a cluster into the last ch2 sp of the row below.

Repeat row 2 for the pattern.
