Row 1: 

• sc in the second chain from your hook and continue across.
• ch2 and turn.

Row 2:

• starting in the second st, make 2hdc in the same stitch.
• sk 1st and make 2hdc in the next st.
• Continue with that pattern until you have 1 stitch remaining.
• 1hdc in the last st.
• ch1 and turn.

Row 3:

• starting in the first st, sc across until you have 2 stitches left (the last hdc and the turning chain from the previous row).
• sk one st and make the last single crochet in the turning chain of the previous row. 
• ch2 and turn.

Repeat row 2 and 3 for the pattern.
