The Airy Shells stitch pattern is a 2 row repeat.

- ch
- sc
- hdc

Foundation Chain
Chain a multiple of 5Â plus 4
Pattern
Row 1:Â
- (2dc, ch1, 2dc) in the sixth ch from the hook.
- *skip the next 4ch, (2dc, ch1, 2dc) in the next ch.
- repeat from * to the last 3 st.
- skip 2ch, dc in the last ch.
- turn.
Row 2:
- ch1, sc in first st.
- * ch3, skip the next 2dc, dc in the next ch1sp, ch3, skip the next 2dc, sc in the space before the next dc.
- repeat from * across, ending with a sc in the top of the turning ch5.
- turn.
Row 3:
- ch5 (counts as dtr here and throughout)
- skip the first sc, and the ch3sp.
- *(2dc, ch1, 2dc) in the next dc, skip the next ch3sp, the next sc, and the next ch3sp.
- repeat from * across, ending with a dtr in the last sc.
- turn.
Repeat rows 2 and 3 for the pattern.
