Overview

Rope stitch is basically made up of rows of v stitches crocheted into each ch1-sp of the row below.

Foundation Chain

Chain a multiple of 3 + 2 plus 1

Pattern

Row 1:

dc in the 4th ch from the hook, ch1, dc in next ch, *skip next ch, dc in next ch, ch1,dc in next ch.
Repeat from * to last ch. dc in the last ch.

Row 2:

ch3 and turn.
Skip first 2 dc, *(dc, ch1, dc) in the ch-1sp, skip 2 dc.
Continue to repeat * in each ch1-sp to last dc.
Skip last dc, dc in turning chain.

Repeat row 2 for the pattern.
