Overview & Special Stitches
Waffle stitch is a beautiful 2 row repeat pattern made up of fpdc and dc stitches.

- Front Post Double Crochet (fpdc): The fpdc is performed around the leg of the st below from front to back.
Foundation Chain
Chain a multiple of 4 +Â 3
Pattern
Row 1:Â
- dc in the fourth ch from the hook and in each ch across
- turn.
Row 2:
- ch3 (counts as dc here and throughout)
- sk the first st and *fpdc around each of the next 3 dc, dc in the next dc.
- repeat from * across, ending with 3 fpdc and then a dc in the top of the turning ch3.
- turn.
Row 3:
- ch3, sk the first st,
- *dc in each of the next 3 sts, fpdc around the next st.
- repeat from * across, ending with 3 dc and a dc in the top of the turning ch3
- turn.
Repeat rows 2 and 3 for the pattern.
