Overview & Special Stitches
Even Moss Stitch is a 1 row repeat and gives a lovely dense texture with only simple stitches. It also looks the same on the back as the front.
Foundation Chain
Chain any even number.
Pattern
Row 1:Â
- sl st into the second ch from the hook.
- * hdc into the next ch, sl st into the next ch.
- Repeat from * accross, then ch 1, and turn.
You will see that the hdc stitches are higher and have an extra loop at the front and the slip stitches are lower.
Row 2:
- sl st into the second st ( the hdc below), hdc into the next stitch (the sl st below).
- *sl st into the next stitch, then hdc into the next stitch.
- Repeat from * to the end of the row, making a sl st into the turning ch.
- ch1 and turn.
Repeat row 2 for the pattern.
