Lorena Splash by Ice Yarns

Details

Lorena Splash is an 8ply cotton/acrylic blend Turkish yarn.

  • it is a beautiful self striping variegated yarn.
  • perfect to make apparel, accessories and around the home
  • 55% cotton and 45% acrylic
  • 10cm x 10cm: 24st x 30 rows
  • 50g per ball
  • 160 metres of yarn per ball
  • warm machine wash

Lorena Splash in the shade pinks, brown 39.

This bag was crocheted in the round so the pattern of the yarn will create a different effect in comparison to a row by row pattern. PDF pattern here.

In Summary

  • Lorena Splash is an enjoyable yarn to work with. Cotton and acrylic together is a good mix in that it is easier on the hands compared to an all cotton yarn.
  • I would be happy to make clothing and accessories as well as home decor with this cotton blend yarn.
  • This yarn is very similar to the Lorena Print with the same ratio of fibres and performance.
  • It doesn’t split at all and pulls easily from the centre of the ball.
  • I love the colour variations, which have a muted denim effect. A ‘splash’ of colour…you might say 🙂.
