Overview
The Nubby pattern is very similar to the Aligned Cobble Stitch except dc is used between the bobble rows instead of sc.
- If you wish to make alternating bobbles , change the directions for every 2nd bobble row. (instructions below)
Stitches used:
- ch
- sc
- dc
- tr
Foundation Chain
Chain a multiple of 2 + 1
Pattern
Row 1:Â
- dc in the 4th ch from the hook and in each ch across.
- ch1 and turn
Row 2:
- sc in the first dc.
- *tr in the next dc, sc in the next dc.
- repeat from * across, ending with a sc in the turning ch for this row. When this row is repeated the last sc will be in the last dc.
- ch2 and turn (does not count as a stitch here and throughout.)
Row 3:
- dc in each stitch across.
- ch1 and turn.
Repeat row 2 and 3 for the pattern.
Alternating Rows of Bobbles
Alternative instructions for Row 2 for every 2nd bobble row (ie: row 4, row 8, row 12 etc)
- sc in the first 2 dc.
- *tr in the next dc, sc in the next dc.
- repeat from * across, ending with 2sc.
- ch2 and turn.
