Overview
The crochet Wattle Stitch is a simple 1 row repeat pattern using sc, ch and dc.
- It is a beautiful textured stitch pattern that looks the same back and front.
- Perfect for dishcloths or washcloths.
- Put a border around this and the wattle stitch would make a lovely blanket as well.
Foundation Chain
Chain a multiple of 3.
Pattern
Row 1:
- sc in the 2nd ch from the hook.
- *(sc,ch,dc) in the next ch, sk2.
- repeat from * until the last 3 sts.
- sk1 (instead of 2) and sc in the last st.
- ch1 and turn.
Row 2:
- sc in the very first st.
- (sc,ch,dc) in each chsp across.
- sc in the last st.
- ch1 and turn.
Repeat row 2 for the pattern.
